Meet Chris

Platform Developer

We’re delighted to welcome Chris to the team, who joined us this week as our new back-end web developer.

Chris will play an important role in supporting our digital agronomists and our customers by helping to resolve bugs and technical issues more quickly. For growers, this means a smoother, more reliable experience when using FruitCast, with fewer interruptions and faster fixes when things crop up. By strengthening this area of the team, Chris will help us spend more time developing the product further, improving the service, and delivering even more value to our customers.

Chris studied computer science before going on to complete his master’s research paper on the procedural generation of strawberry plants at the University of Lincoln. With extensive knowledge across both the agriculture and robotics sectors, Chris brings a brilliant blend of technical expertise and industry understanding to his new role.

In his position, Chris will work closely with our founder and chief operating officer, Dr Raymond Martin, and our web developers as part of our close-knit team. He’s excited to get stuck into the role and contribute to the next stage of our work.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys beach walks with his partner and their sausage dog, Tog. He also has a passion for tanks and history. He attends Tankfest every year with his family, a tradition that even inspired Tog’s name.

We’re pleased to have Chris as part of the team and wish him every success in his new role.
