Meet Harvey

Farm Integration Engineer

At FruitCast, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Today, we’re introducing Harvey, one of our talented full-stack engineers, who plays an important role in improving the FruitCast app and helping farms get the most value from their data.

Harvey focuses on developing and improving the FruitCast application, with a particular emphasis on creating a better user experience for farmers and farm teams. His role involves making the app as useful, intuitive and valuable as possible, ensuring that growers can easily access the insights they need to support their yield forecasting decisions.

Working alongside Luke on the front end of the app, Harvey helps to refine the way users interact with FruitCast, making sure the platform continues to meet the needs of farms in a practical and effective way.

Since joining FruitCast, Harvey has made fantastic progress both technically and professionally. He has continued to build his coding skills, grow in confidence and take on more responsibility within the team. His development has been clear to see, from contributing to improvements in the app to delivering presentations and representing FruitCast at agricultural events.

Before joining FruitCast, Harvey studied Economics at the University of Washington in America. This background gives him a strong understanding of data, decision-making and problem-solving, all of which link closely to his role today. His work helps turn complex data into practical tools that farmers can use to make more informed decisions.

One of the things Harvey enjoys most about his job is being in the office with the team and working together to solve problems. He finds it rewarding to know that his work has a meaningful impact on the agricultural sector and contributes to a solution that is valuable for farmers. Seeing the difference his work makes within the FruitCast app has been a key part of his growth and motivation.

Outside of work, Harvey enjoys golfing, walking his dog, running and getting stuck into house DIY projects.
